Zandic is by the exciting young Grand Prix star Scandic. Scandic is describes as a very originally bred stallion, by Solos Carex (himself a grand prix horse) out of an elite mare. Scandic's progeny are said to inherit a spacious, powerful and pure trot, a lot of tact and balance in the canter and an excellent attitude to work.

Scandic

Zandic's dam line traces back to to both Legaat (Marco Polo) and Uppercut.  Marco Polo, by the Thoroughbred Poet XX, stood at stud for 20 years in The Netherlands following his grading in Neumunster (for the Trakehner Verband) and in Holland. He was the most important sire in Dutch competition horse breeding. He looked rather more like a Thoroughbred than a Trakehner and his progeny, who were often quite late developers (usual in Trekehners), were outstanding jumpers and very forward going. He was also a noted prepotent sire of stallions, having graded sons at stud in many countries.
His most well-known offspring include:-
Irco Polo - sire of the top Swedish showjumping stallion Irco Polo (who, in turn, sired the Olympic horse Marcoville).
Marius - sire of Milton, the top English Showjumper for John Whittaker.
Vivaldi - International speed horse.
Interpol - Fred Welch's international showjumping stallion. Uppercut xx was introduced to the KWPN to add refinement, and that he has done with many well known horses having him somewhere in their pedigree.

Zandic has already begun to prove himself as a dressage horse, competing in the International four year old classes and gaining excellent scores (see news page for results) He has also begun to compete at novice level proving to be very trainable with super paces with a bit of character too!

Zandic is not currently for sale as we intend to produce him towards the five year old classes next year.
